Founder's Story

Wu Huirong, born on October 11, 1965, is a visionary pioneer in the field of molecular sieve technology. A member of the Han nationality, Wu’s journey towards revolutionizing the industry began in 1985 when he joined the Xindi Chemical Factory in Hefu Town, Huzhou City, assuming the role of deputy director.

In 1994, Wu embarked on a transformative collaboration with Professor Liu Chengyin of the Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry. Together, they spearheaded groundbreaking research into the production and refinement of China’s first-generation coal-based nitrogen carbon molecular sieves. Their efforts culminated in the development of the inaugural carbon molecular sieve products, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s scientific advancement.

The year 1997 witnessed another milestone as Wu, alongside Professor Liu Chengyin, achieved a breakthrough with the creation of the pioneering resin-based nitrogen-carbon molecular sieve CMS-175. Wu assumed a pivotal role as the project’s principal leader, showcasing his leadership and technical acumen.

In 2002, Wu’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish “Huzhou Qiangma Molecular Sieve Co., Ltd.,” where he assumed the dual responsibilities of chairman and general manager. Under his guidance, the company embarked on a journey of innovation, continuously refining carbon molecular sieve products and elevating industry standards.

Wu’s contributions to the field were duly recognized when he was appointed as a distinguished expert by the prestigious “Expert Technology Channel” of China Chemical Network in April 2007. His expertise and commitment to excellence further solidified his standing as a luminary in the field.

In 2011, Wu played a pivotal role in drafting the industry standard for “Carbon Molecular Sieve,” a testament to his dedication to advancing the field’s regulatory framework. The standard, released in 2013, set a benchmark for quality and performance in the industry.

His expertise also led to his appointment as a member of the Molecular Sieving Technical Committee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Fertilizers and Soil Conditioners in June 2013, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in the field.

Wu’s contributions extend beyond technological innovation; in November 2015, he authored a seminal article on “Application of Carbon Molecular Sieve Activation Regeneration Technology,” showcasing his commitment to knowledge dissemination and industry advancement.

In October 2017, recognizing the need for expansion, Wu established “Huzhou Qiangma Molecular Sieve Technology Co., Ltd.,” signaling a new chapter in the company’s growth trajectory.

Wu’s dedication to excellence was further underscored in July 2018 when he spearheaded the drafting of the Zhejiang manufacturing group standard “Carbon Molecular Sieve,” underscoring his commitment to industry-wide quality assurance.

In November 2018, Wu’s leadership qualities were acknowledged once again when he assumed the role of supervisor for the “Huzhou Nanxun District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau and Fu Town Office Style (Efficiency) Construction,” a testament to his multifaceted expertise.

In January 2019, Wu’s contributions to the field were formally recognized with his appointment as a member of the “Molecular Sieve Professional Committee of the 30th Council of the Chinese Chemical Society,” further solidifying his status as a luminary in the field.

In March 2020, Wu’s unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability bore fruit with the establishment of “Huzhou Qiangqiang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.,” where he serves as chairman. The company’s pioneering waste activated carbon regeneration technology is a testament to Wu’s vision and tireless pursuit of innovation.

Wu Huirong’s journey stands as a testament to the transformative power of dedication, innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence in advancing scientific knowledge and shaping the future of molecular sieve technology in China and beyond.
